Olga Rodr\u00edguez Pomares (Elche, 1972), a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Murcia, in 2011, with the Doctoral thesis entitled \"Techniques and surface finishes on stone sculpture. Practical research with chemical and mechanical treatments in marble\". <\/strong>Since 1997, she has held various group and individual exhibitions and has received different awards and scholarships,<\/strong> among which we can highlight the one awarded by the Valencia Provincial Council in the III Call for the \"Difusi\u00f3 de les Arts Pl\u00e0stiques\" program of the SARC; the Leonardo Scholarship, awarded by the ADEIT, \u201cFundaci\u00f3n Universidad-Empresa\u201d of the University of Valencia, and developed in Ireland at the \"West Cork Art Center\"; the \u201cInternazionale di Scultura\u201d Symposium \u00abCarrara Citt\u00e0 Labotatorio. Scolpire all\u00b4Aperto\u00bb, awarded by the Comune di Carrara, the predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships received as a teacher (PDI) from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia, for stays in foreign centers, such as the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (Italy), the Faculty of Fine Arts of Ioannina (Greece), the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan or the Faculdade de Belas-Artes, University of Lisbon.<\/p>\n

She publishes several books and articles in scientific magazines, and participates in conferences and research projects on art and sculpture.<\/strong> She has developed a teaching and research career (PDI) at the University of Murcia<\/strong>, teaching the subjects of \"Sculpture\", \"Sculptural Procedures\", \"Carving\" and \"Sculptural Representations of the Human Body\" at the Faculty of Fine Arts. She also perfoms research work at the Center Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e Estudos em Belas Artes (CIEBA) da FBAUL in Lisbon <\/strong>participating in projects and \/or research contracts.<\/p>\n

Academic background has clearly focused on sculpture, clay modeling, casting techniques working with different materials, marble and wood carving, but it also found a link with painting and restoration.<\/strong> Among the most recent solo exhibitions<\/strong> (2009 - 2019), it is worth mentioning: \"Made in Italy\" at Fuente \u00c1lamo (Murcia), \"Viatjar sobre la pedra\" in Elche; \"Stone archeologies\" in the ESPACIOS OCUPA^2 at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena; \"Construcciones y Deconstrucciones\" at ESUM Showroom of the University of Murcia; or \"Marmoris. Transit in the soul of marble\u201d, at the Museo Teatro Romano in Cartagena. Deserves special mention her participation in the group exhibition<\/strong> \"Paisatges. Mirades Contempor\u00e0nies\", at the \u201cCentro Municipal d\u00b4Exposicions d\u00b4Elx\u201d, sharing exhibition space with artists such as Arcadi Blasco, Carmen Calvo, Antoni Mir\u00f3, Manuel H. Momp\u00f3, Soledad Sevilla, Gustavo Torner, Fernando Z\u00f3bel among others. Or the one held in Alicante, \"Homage to Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez 75 x 75\" with artists like Pepe Azor\u00edn, Joan Castejon, Toni Mir\u00f3. The last exhibition was carried out in 2019, with a new Project; \u201cEs-cultura: plural bodies\u201d at the Casa Pintada Foundation \u2013 Crist\u00f3bal Gabarr\u00f3n Museum. International group exhibitions, \"Art al Vent\", exhibited in Azambuja, Extremoz, Macedo de Cavaleiros and Tavira (Portugal) in Germany or Mexico City; \"Arte Cisoria\", exhibited at the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil - Albert, Casa Bard\u00edn, Archaeological and History Museum of Elche \"Alejandro Ramos Forqu\u00e9s\" (MAHE), University of Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez, in Mexico, Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea del Liceo Artistico F. Figari de Sassari in Sardinia (Italy), Palazzo Regio de Cagliari in Sardinia (Italy), among others, ... In the last years she has exhibited in art galleries<\/strong> such as Hern\u00e1ndez Art Gallery, in Milan, and in the Viki Blasco Gallery, in Gij\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
